Welcome to Lifelong Habit. By using the Lifelong Habit app ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the App.

1. About Lifelong Habit

Lifelong Habit is a modular habit-tracking app designed to help you build lasting routines using flexible templates, structured habit archetypes, and identity-based habit formation. It is not a medical, therapeutic, or mental health service, and it is not a substitute for professional advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country) to use Lifelong Habit. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Account and Security

You may sign in using Google OAuth or email OTP. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized access to your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of Lifelong Habit require a paid subscription.

  • Subscriptions are managed through Google Play (and App Store when available), billed according to their respective terms.
  • If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial period ends.
  • Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through the store where you subscribed.
  • Payments, billing, refunds, and cancellations are handled by Google Play or the App Store and are subject to their respective terms.

We may update pricing in the future, with notice provided through the app or the store listing.

5. Third-Party Services

Lifelong Habit may use third-party tools to deliver its features. These services have their own terms and privacy policies which govern how they handle your data:

  • Supabase: Authentication and database hosting
  • PostHog: Usage analytics
  • Google: OAuth sign-in
  • Google Play / App Store: Payment and subscription processing

6. Acceptable Use

By using Lifelong Habit, you agree not to:

  • Misuse, interfere with, or disrupt the app's functionality or infrastructure
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the app
  • Use the app for any unlawful, abusive, or harmful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user's account

7. Reminders and Notifications

Lifelong Habit may send push notifications to remind you of your scheduled habits. You can enable or disable notifications at any time through your device settings. We are not responsible for missed reminders due to device settings, system restrictions, or connectivity issues.

8. Data and Privacy

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at https://lifelonghabit.app/privacy. We do not sell user data. We use PostHog for anonymous usage analytics to improve the app experience.

9. Intellectual Property

All content within Lifelong Habit, including the app design, habit archetypes, template structures, artwork, text, and code, is owned by Lifelong Habit. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from any of our assets without prior written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Lifelong Habit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lifelong Habit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Use of Lifelong Habit is at your own discretion and risk.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that harms the integrity of the app or its users. You may also delete your account at any time from within the app.

13. Future Platforms

Lifelong Habit is currently available on Android. iOS and web versions are planned for the future. These Terms apply to all platforms on which the app is made available, and will be updated as needed.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes occur, we will notify users through the app or via store update notes. Continued use of the app after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
